My First Bandaids!

It was weird not seeing Dr. G for a month after going every week the first month of Hannah's life due to her feeding issues.  We really like our pediatrician!  He's very knowledgable, compassionate, and complimentary.  He's VERY impressed with Hannah's alertness, easy-going nature, physical development (rolling over is a 4 to 7 month milestone), and sleeping through the night (a good goal is 6 hours at 3 months of age).  Hannah's slept anywhere from 7 to 10 hours at night as soon as we were "allowed" to let her at one month old.  Hannah has gently eased us into this parenthood thing.  Anyone from dear friends and family to strangers in the mall are always curious about how the baby sleeps and are shocked when a rested mama can reply that she sleeps through the night.  My reply instantly throws people into a state of surprise or jealousy.  I always hear the horror stories from those people and am reminded about how blessed we are.

Hannah was in the 50th percentile for height and weight at one month.  Now at two months, she remains in the 50th percentile for weight (10 lbs 12 oz) but has shot to the 90th percentile in height (almost 2 feet).  We've got a tall, lean, strong baby!

She also had her first round of shots.  My job was to hold her hands back and console her while she got stuck 3 times and got an oral vaccine.  I have never seen her face turn that red or heard such a loud cry!  So sad!  But by the time we left the office, she was sound asleep in her carseat.  She was lethargic and a tad fussy most of the day, but it back to normal today.  I'm promised that she has already forgotten yesterday's trauma.

Here's her first bandaids:
Now that she's so tall, Hannah's outgrown her sleepsack.  She's slept in it every night. She loves being warm and snug.  At least she still has her giraffe with white noise to calm her.

Our new thing is letting her sit in her Bumbo seat.  It's amazing the control she has at 2 months!

  1. Such a cutie! I have two VERY opposite children. Bryce was like Hannah and slept through the night by 4 weeks old (8-10 hours), he was huge, alert, met milestones early, and has a feisty personality. Then, I had second who was the worst sleeper on the planet, not near as alert, was on the later end of meeting milestones, but has THE SWEETEST disposition out there. It's truly amazing how different kiddos can be! Having an "easy" one your first go round sure is a treat (and will make you want a second)!!
